Job Opening Summary

Under the direction of the director/manager and RNs, the nursing assistant float pool facilitates patient care by providing the basic physical care and nursing procedures; providing patients with comfort measures; and maintaining a clean, safe and organized environment. We are searching for nursing assistants who have at least 2 years of inpatient hospital experience.

As a nursing assistant, you'll play a pivotal role in patient care. Your compassion, empathy and ability to anticipate needs will be critical. Here's what you can expect:
  1. Compassion and Empathy: You'll be the heart of our team. Your genuine care for patients during their most vulnerable moments will make a significant impact. Whether it's holding a hand, listening to concerns or offering a comforting smile, your presence matters.
  2. Patient Bonding: Creating a special bond with patients is at the core of your work. You'll be there when they need you most, providing emotional support and reassurance. Your kindness can change their entire outlook.
  3. Foundational Role: As a nursing assistant, you are the foundation of our nursing care. Your daily interactions directly influence patient well-being. You’ll assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, walking and restroom visits, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
  4. Vital Signs and Communication: You'll learn to take vital signs: blood pressure, blood sugar and more. Effective communication with nurses and clinical staff is crucial. Your observations and insights contribute to the overall patient care plan.
  5. Medical Equipment Proficiency: Operating medical equipment is part of your skill set. This experience serves as a stepping stone toward a deeper understanding of nursing practices. You'll gain valuable insights into patient needs and treatment.

Challenges and Rewards
  • Challenges: The role can be physically demanding, requiring patience and resilience. You'll encounter diverse patient situations, including those with complex needs.
  • Rewards: The impact you make is immeasurable. Witnessing a patient's progress, seeing their gratitude and knowing you've made a difference — it's incredibly fulfilling.

Why Join Our Team?
  1. Heart of Compassion: We seek individuals who genuinely care. If you believe in making a positive impact on lives, this is the place for you.
  2. Growth Opportunities: As a nursing assistant, you'll learn and grow. Your role is a stepping stone toward a rewarding health care career.
  3. Team Collaboration: You’ll work closely with nurses, doctors and other clinical staff. Together, we create a supportive environment.
